Kids love to interact

So you’ve been at home for who knows how long and the entire family seems to have adjusted to “staying at home”, then you decide to go out and meet some relatives (safely) and the first thing that happens is the kids gravitating towards each other; Familiar?

The adults? probably trying to keep distance or still wary of making any form of physical contact, meanwhile, the kids are running towards each other, saying hi, inviting the other to do something fun; just happy to be there with other kids around.

This definitely is the case for my kids whenever they get to see their cousins. Whether it’s us visiting their place, or them visiting us, or us going out together, the kids are always the first to point out who they see and how happy they are to see them and when they’re together, they have a world of their own.

While the adults have been loving isolation, the kids (especially the little ones) have been seeking human interaction. I’m glad that I have 2 kids, since they get to play with each other at home, but the world out there is a much more interesting place.

With places opening up, and 15 year olds now being allowed to get the vaccine, I’m starting to feel hopeful that my kids will be able to explore the outside world more soon.
