Aging

Here’s something I never thought I’d ever bother talking about - nearing the age of 30.

I’ve only recently thought about this because of a recent event that had happened (I’ll save it for another post) - which made me go “Oh, I’m not 21 anymore”. Who knew that age was such a prime time? Definitely not me since I basically went through life not caring about what age I was (‘Till now!).

Looking back, I can definitely say that I was more “productive” and more “useful” back then. Sure, there’s more than just my current age that’s a factor to that but it’s basically because I’m aging that things aren’t as “easy” or as “accessible” anymore - though truth can be said the other way around too. But because of my recent experience, I’ve really gotten to think about what I had been doing and what my priorities were in my “younger years”. I’m not complaining but I somehow wish I knew what I knew now to have prevented things.

Dear Reader, if you’re reading this, Sorry for being vague. I can’t exactly describe how I feel right now and what I went through to make me say all these things - but this is my outlet.

There is one relatably funny thing that I read recently which my sister tagged me in on Facebook about my “aging” and it’s getting excited about things I never would have been excited about before.

This post cannot be more real - to me. I recently bought a dinnerware set and what got me excited about it was the rack it came with. Yup, The Rack. Because it was such a space saver. Saw it, bought it, love it - my excitement. Yep, I’ve really hit that age.

People who are either parents, homeowners, or just at this age - you know what I mean ;)
