Rainbow Baby
Prior to having my 2nd daughter, Anastasia, in April 2020 – I had a miscarriage in May 2019.
I didn’t know how far along I was. I may have only been 3 weeks or a month or 2 along in the pregnancy when I had the miscarriage. It was only 3 days since I found out I was pregnant, and hadn’t gone to an OB-GYN to check anything yet, when I lost the baby.
I may have only known for 3 days that I was pregnant but knowing I had lost that baby – placed me in so much grief and sadness. To add insult to injury, I lost the baby on Mother’s day.
I wish no one would have to go through what I did but it happens – and I’m here to tell all the parents who have gone through the same that it isn’t the end. I know – as I definitely felt that it was – but months later, I tested positive again and was able to see through my pregnancy to the end! And so came baby Anastasia, my Rainbow Baby.
