Dear,

My 3rd and youngest daughter turned 3 months and since I’ve already started with the monthly cake and photo post, I did so again this time around. The family and I went to a French cafe where we found a beautiful-looking chocolate cake and Macarons. The cafe was full so we decided to buy the cake and then head to the restaurant across (Chicken and Beer) so we could have our early dinner and take photos of our 3-month-old there. The food was delicious! I’ve always loved Korean food (because this was a Korean restaurant) and my top 2 have always been Korean Beef and Chicken!

My husband and I decided to make this a double celebration since our monthsary came up as well - so dinner and sweets!

We were the only customers the restaurant had during our time there (since we were there around 3 in the afternoon) so it felt nice and intimate. Our kids loved running back and forth on their bench sofas and our 3-month-old was in a very jolly mood. The ambiance felt very warm since the restaurant had glass doors and it was a sunny afternoon, the light would shine through and even created a rainbow prism.

So much emotions ran through me when I saw that rainbow because my last 2 daughters are actually “rainbow babies” (babies born after a loss/miscarriage). The moment I had today was everything to me.

Going home, I thought that our day was just that - but there was some sour news we were presented with. I guess the events of the day had to happen the way they did so that we wouldn’t linger on the bad news for too long.

Bad moments happen but it’s still “just” a moment and it’ll pass. For today, I’m happy to have celebrated my baby girl turning 3 months. I was once the type to question why people celebrate “months” but after everything that’s happened with my family, I realize that being able to even reach a day in life is a great achievement.

Love,

Milkfist
